Message from the President
Riding the horse year into 2014, we are anticipating a special and successful year! On the wave of this special time, we are preparing for our SABPA 9th Annual Biomedical Forum on Saturday, April 26th, 2014 in Crowne Plaza Hotel in Costa Mesa, CA. The Annual Biomedical Forum is the flagship event of our SABPA OC/LA chapter. It gathers elite speakers from academics, industries, IP law experts, and investors from both the United States and China. The topics will cover a broad range of subjects, including drug discovery, diagnostics, micro implants for eyes, cardiovascular medical devices, personalized medicine, bio-3D printing, IP protection, and medical devices in China. We are very excited about this year’s program and expect a highly successful event.
On behalf of SABPA, I encourage you all to join this forum and take this opportunity to learn, share, and network among our scientists, engineers, investors, executives, students, entrepreneurs, and policy makers in order to promote life sciences, biotech, medical device, pharmaceutical, and alliances across the biomedical industry in southern California and Asian countries.
I am also pleased to update all SABPA OC/LA members that 2013 was a very successful year. We have further established our committees and volunteer teams with involvement from enthusiastic members, particularly those from universities in the OC/LA area. All committee chairs took the initiative to build their teams and completed all their responsible tasks. As a result of the efforts from these dedicated committee members and volunteers, we successfully organized our 2013 SABPA 8th Annual Biomedical Forum with more than 200 attendees and 2013 career development workshops.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the SABPA OC/LA committee members and volunteers for their hard work, our sponsors for their generosity, and your participations to make our forum successful. I would welcome you all to get involved and provide support to SABPA for its future development and growth.
