SABPA OC/LA 16th Annual Biomedical Forum

The mission of this forum is to provide attractive platform for entrepreneurs, scientists, investors, executives, and policy makers to promote life sciences, biotechnology, and alliances across the biomedical industry in Southern California and Pacific Asia. The annual biomedical forum is one of the flagship events organized by SABPA OC/LA, which gathered elite speakers and attracted more than 250 attendees and 15 event sponsors in 2015 as we were celebrating our 10th anniversary. Mr. Xianzhi Lu, Consul, head of Science & Technology office at Consulate General of People’s Republic of China in Los Angeles and Dr. Steven Choi, the Mayor of the city of Irvine attended the meeting and congratulated SABPA OC/LA for the important milestone. Dr. Henry Ji, Co-founder, CEO and President of Sorrento Therapeutics, Inc. delivered the keynote speech of the event, talking about his own journey to start from a couple of provisional patents to a Nasdaq traded company.
The upcoming 11th SABPA annual biomedical forum in 2016 will feature Nobel Prize laurate Dr. Robert H. Grubbs as keynote speakers. The forum will focus on the following aeras: (1) Latest innovations in medical devices, in vitro diagnostics, pharmaceuticals and nutraceuticals; (2) FDA regulations and legal aspects concerning medical and pharmaceutical products; (3) China-US connection on latest technology exchange, venture capital investment and government policy on the promotion of innovation and entrepreneurship.
